If you aren't, then you should know that commercial parking lot maintenance is recommended for a number of very good reasons. These are a few examples of some of the problems that might occur if you don't work with a commercial parking lot maintenance service on a regular basis in order to do all of the necessary maintenance to keep your parking lot in excellent condition.
You Could Face ADA Violations
One part of keeping your commercial parking lot well-maintained is making sure that the lines and other things that are painted on your parking lot are easily visible. For example, it's important to make sure that your handicapped-assigned parking spaces are easily visible. Not only is this important so that you can make everyone feel welcome and accommodated when they park in your parking lot, but it's also important because you are required by the ADA to provide a certain number of handicapped parking spaces. If the notations for your handicapped parking spaces are not visible, you could face fines and other consequences that go along with an ADA violation.
Someone Could Trip and Fall
You might be aware of the fact that slip and fall accidents can be very expensive for business owners, and you might be worried about being held liable for someone falling on your property. If you don't keep your parking lot properly cleaned and maintained regularly, you have to worry about someone tripping over debris or tripping because of a pothole or other imperfections which could result in both someone being injured and your business being sued.
Repair Costs Could Add Up
At some point or another, you are probably going to have to have repairs done to your commercial parking lot. If your parking lot is kept well-maintained in-between repairs, then those repairs should be minimal. This means that they should be pretty affordable to take care of, and a professional should be able to handle the repairs quickly. If your parking lot is not well-maintained, on the other hand, you might eventually find yourself paying for expensive repairs in your parking lot, or you might have to have it completely replaced with new asphalt if the problems become too serious.
